How does the SoS, the PO-Daily Scrum and the ScrumMasters Weekly work together? — Vienna
It is not so simple to answer this question, as it depends a lot on your organization. But basically it is run this way.
Every day each team has a Daily Scrum. The Daily Scrum is only used for creating a high density communication within the team. It is not status report.
In some companies all the participants go to the Scrum of Scrums after this meeting. In most Scrum companies, only the participants of a team who can report a problem will go to the Scrum of Scrums. If there is no problem one person from the team only needs to go to the Scrum of Scrums.
Most of the implementations I have seen, have more than one product owner running several teams. So what you MUST have is a Product Owner Daily Scrum. If you use this concept, you will be able to run several Scrum-Teams easily.
SoS, PODS, and DS are done on a daily basis.
In some cases, customers have reported that a weekly meeting of the Scrum Master of all teams makes a lot of sense. I call this meeting a ScrumMasters Weekly. This meeting is for synchronization/communication on process level. And you will be able to identify roots of organizational issues.
