Built-in Instability | Eurofighter

The video about the Euro-Fighter and the Bugatti reminded me about a principle that I also explained in my book: You need to have built-in instability to create an agile airplane. This is a principle of all fighter airplanes and they need to be controlled by using data from all aspects of the flight and only computers (70 in the Euro Fighter) are able to handle all the data.

If we want to have agile teams and do agile software development, then we need to consider that we need to have built-in instability to have agile teams.

So my question to you is: How can we build in instability into an agile software development team?

  1. Hi Boris, nice video. By the way, I’m Manoel Lemos from WebCo in Brazil, the company you’re supposed to give some coaching. Unfortunately it couldn’t happen, but we have Peter here to help us.
